Pharma Live Expo gave immense opportunity to connect

The first edition of Pharma Live Expo, jointly organized by the Indian Drugs Manufacturers Association of India
(IDMA) and Icexpo Consults was successfully held from 1st to 3rd March 2023 at Nesco, Mumbai
Exhibition Grounds, Mumbai, India. The fair presented a diverse range of medicines products and services, including pharmaceutical preparations, APIs, bulk drugs, intermediates,
KSM, contract manufacturers, pharmaceutical and packaging machines, analytical instruments and
Laboratory equipment, laboratory chemicals and other complementary products and services for the pharmaceutical industry.
The event attracted a remarkable 8,242 visitors from 36 countries, making it a great platform for pharmaceutical industry to showcase their latest offerings. With 206 exhibitors

interest and potential for the pharmaceutical industry in India and beyond.
The exhibition was opened by Dr. (Mrs.) Vinod Kotwal, Member Secretary, National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA), Government of India, H.E Silvia Lutacuta, Hon. Minister of Health of Angola and Shri Viranchi Shah, President of IDMA. The exhibition was also witnessed inauguration of the Himachal Pradesh pavilion by the Hon’ble Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister, Shri Harshawardhan Chouhan.
The inaugural session had an opening address by Shri Daara B Patel, General Secretary IDMA followed by a keynote speech on The Value of the African Pharmaceutical Industry by Mrs
Sunanda Rajendran, Secretary General, Indo African Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Event also included speeches by distinguished guests like Shri S V Veeramani, Chairman – Pharmexcil
& CMD, Fourrts (India) Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Shri Abhimanyu Kale, IAS, Commissioner, FDA,
Maharashtra, Dr. E Muthuraman, Chairman, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Council,
and Dr. (Ms) Vinod Kotwal, Member Secretary, National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA),
Government of India. The event was concluded by the chief guest H. E. Silvia Lutacuta Hon’ble Minister Health, Government of Angola with closing speech. Mr. Shareef Rahuman, Managing Director of ICEXPO Consults said that the high attendance of visitors from 36 countries was a sign of growing interest in the Indian pharmaceutical industry and
we are proud to have provided a platform for businesses to come together and explore new partnerships.
We are determined to build on this success and make Pharma Live Expo even bigger and bigger better events in the coming years. The show doubles in size in its second edition, with more than 500 Exhibitors are expected to showcase more than 20,000 products on display.
Mr. Chirag Doshi, Chairman, Exhibition Committee, also expressed his enthusiasm for the next one
edition of Pharma Live Expo. “As we look forward to the next release, we’re exploring new features and initiatives to improve the overall attendee experience through a full conference with keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking events. We are also exploring partnerships with international organizations and associations to further expand the reach of the show. We are
convinced that the next year of Pharma Live Expo will be an unforgettable event
pharmaceutical industry and we look forward to welcoming you all in January 2024,” said Mr. Doshi. It is interesting to note that the fair also hosted 147 registered buyer delegates from the 24
African nations for buyers-sellers meet exhibitors, further underlining the reach of the show. With the overall feedback from visitors and exhibitors, they rate the event as highly satisfactory the organizers and participants are eagerly looking forward to the next edition of Pharma Live Expo which is scheduled from 17th to 19th January 2024 in Mumbai.
